This location is also known as Palm Jumeirah Park.

• Al Wasl Park

Jumeirah 1 is another modest suburban hidden treasure right off Wasl Road. It is not large, but there is enough area for the kids to ride their scooters and bikes and play in the somewhat shaded playground.

• Al Sufouh Park

This pleasant little park is located in a quiet suburban part of the city between Hessa Street and Al Sufouh Road and has two children’s play spaces. It’s geared towards younger children, although it also has a jogging track, sports courts, and a small coffee shop.

• Dubai Creek Park

This is one of the city’s major outdoor spaces, located on the western bank of Dubai Creek, with plenty of added facilities and entertainment to enjoy. It’s a favourite picnic and barbecue spot, and it also has a big botanical garden, mini-golf, and a go-kart track. There are various playgrounds for youngsters scattered throughout the area. Check out the Dolphinarium and Children’s City, an edutainment and learning centre featuring a planetarium, for extras within the park. The Creek Cable Cars travel daily across the park in the winter (in summer, evenings only).

• Bay Avenue Park

• Jumeirah Beach Park

• Nad al Sheba Cycle Park

Nad al Sheba Cycle Park is a park dedicated to bikers and fitness lovers, located next to Meydan RaceCourse (a converted camel racing track!). Aventura Parks, a ziplining path through the Ghaf forest, and public swimming pools for men, women, and children are also available albeit for a fee.

• Quranic Park

This lovely new park in the city’s Al Khawaneej neighbourhood is dedicated to the Holy Quran. The 60-acre park is available to people of all faiths, but keep in mind that it is a family park, so you would want to dress appropriately. Inside, you’ll find the Lake, Orchards, and the Cave of Miracles, all of which include interactive displays (in Arabic) and a glasshouse displaying flora referenced in the Holy Quran. Inside, there are additional play areas and snack carts.
